Our Facilities
It's Time to Look around
The Facilities you choose will obviously reflect what you are going to use the centre for and the number of people that will be attending.
Our Main Hall
The main Hall is a very large room that is used for a wide variety of activities and like all ground floor amenities its is easily accessed by those in wheelchairs or with problems walking.
The Hire of the hall includes the use of fold down tables and stackable chairs to provide a comfortable environment for your activities as well as access to our kitchen for refreshments.
Our Kitchen
The Kitchen is fitted with all of the normal equipment you would expect in a kitchen and is regularly used to provide hot meals for in excess of seventy people. Sited adjacent to the Main Hall the the large serving hatch makes it easy to serve plated meals making sure that the food reaches the tables hot. Food for buffets is also regularly produced in our kitchen prior to an event or private party. The kitchen can also be rented for the purpose of preparing and cooking with the food produced being consumed off the premises.
Meetings and Private Parties
The main hall can be set out in a formal or informal manner to suit the atmosphere you are trying to create.
Meetings are normally formal while family parties are very informal. We are very aware of our neighbours and to ensure we do not cause them any inconvenience or disturbance we ask all hirers to keep noise levels as low as possible before, during and after the event and similarly to ensure we keep the area clean and tidy we ask that all rubbish resulting from the event is bagged up and taken home for disposal by the hirer.
The Saint Pauls Room
Situated on the upper floor and accessed by stairs this room is unfortunately unsuitable for those in wheelchairs. The room is however easily organised to facilitate the users preferred layout with movable tables and chairs that can be placed in the most suitable location for the hirers needs. We expect that at the end of the session the tables and chairs are moved back to their original positions for the next user. Currently the room is used for a number of educational, recreational and Research activities,
Community Services
The centre provides a free book and Jigsaw swap facility to provide stimulating activities for the elderly in their home both of which are well used and appreciated.
